The chapter co-organizes, jointly with the WIC, an annual Symposium on Information Theory in the Benelux (SITB) and an annual Midwinter-Meeting with tutorial presentations on a hot topic. Apart from that, the chapter organizes other activities. In 2009 it started a series of Van der Meulen Seminars. This seminar series recognizes the contributions of Prof. dr. Edward C. van der Meulen to information theory and his role as founding father of the Benelux information theory chapter.
An overview and proceedings of symposia of information theory in the Benelux as well as midwinter meetings can be found at the WIC website.
